State unemployment rate for May is 10.4 percent Trousdale County made positive gains in the jobs front last month, with the May unemployment rate at 10.5 percent. That's 1.3 percent lower than April's rate of 11.8 percent, and 1.9 percent lower than May 2009, when the unemployment rate for Trousdale County was 12.4 percent. Staff Reports |

TVA converting to demand and energy rates The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is converting from current end use wholesale rates to demand and energy rates. This billing change will increase costs to TVA power distributors, including Tri-County Electric. Effective July 1, 2010, Tri-County Electric residential members will see their customer charge increase by $4.73 /month and small commercial members will have an increase of $7.50/month.
