Dollie Moss Glover

Dollie Moss Glover, 88, of Hartsville, passed away on Sept. 21, 2023, at Quality Care Nursing Home in Lebanon.

Mrs. Glover was born on Aug. 17, 1935, in Macon County, to the late Tom Edward Gammons and Effie Wix Gammons.

She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Walter J. “Jimmy” Glover; children, Rachel Moss, John Moss, Jr., Tracye Moss Araiza; grandson, Chris Ray; brothers, Raymond Gammons, Jessie Gammons, Charles Gammons, Archie Gammons; sisters, Roberta McClanahan, Bessie Eden Presley, Minnie Parker Dyer; and ex-husband, John Moss, Sr.

She is survived by: two sons, Brownie Moss of Hartsville, Donald (Stacy) Moss of Hartsville; four daughters, Debbie (Ray) Satterfield of Hartsville; Connie (Kenneth Beal) Barnes of Lebanon, Betty (Mark) McCarter of Lafayette, Margie (Tommy) Foster of Hartsville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); two great-great grandchildren (and two on the way); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, conducted by Jack Honeycutt.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. William Lyles and Wayne Sanders. Active pallbearers are Jason Ray, James McCarter, Daniel Moss, Brownie Moss, Donald Moss, Jr., and Jonathan Foster.

Interment was held in Hartsville Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to Trousdale County Help Center.

Anthony Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
